Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground in outdoor environments. We provide paid training and equip you with the basic skills needed to succeed.

You will work with a vehicle provided for daily use, earn PTO and paid holidays, and qualify for a 401(k) with company match. The role requires independence, problem solving, and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs with aids.

Responsibilities

• We will train entry level Locating Technicians to think safety first.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine best locate method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities; communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
