Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground using paint and flags. We provide 100% paid training and on-the-job instruction to build basic skills for success.

Requirements include a desire to work outdoors in all weather, independence, and problem-solving ability. Training will cover safety, ticket processing, maps, blueprints, and locating procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and independently.
• Problem solving with speed and accuracy is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities; communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
