Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We will train you on the job and equip you with skills through 100% paid training.

You should enjoy outdoor work in all weather, work independently and solve problems quickly and accurately. Responsibilities include using maps and blueprints, locating with equipment, documenting tickets, and communicating with homeowners and team members.

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs, or up to 75 lbs with aid
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method and sequence for locating.
• Use provided locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
