Job summary

RECONN is seeking an Advanced Locate Technician in Columbus, OH to locate underground utilities, mark locations, complete paperwork, and document each locate. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions and use a company laptop and smartphone for updates.

Starting pay is $21 to $32 per hour, depending on experience. This full-time daytime role may require overtime and occasional travel locally; prior utility locating experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of utility locating experience required.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to travel locally during the business day; some out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and accurately.
• Document locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Complete required paperwork and reports.
• Operate company-provided laptop and smartphone for documenting locates.
