Job summary

RUTS Construction seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations on underground utility projects in Fort Worth, TX. You will manage crews, coordinate subcontractors, and drive safety, quality, and cost targets on a day-to-day basis.

You will develop robust work plans, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards while collaborating with project managers and inspectors to meet schedule commitments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with underground utility work.
• Experience leading field crews and coordinating subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and site practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of field personnel including operators, laborers, and subcontractors.
• Lead field operations for underground utility projects (water, sewer, storm drain).
• Build and maintain daily/weekly work plans aligned with schedule.
• Monitor progress, safety, quality, and adherence to budget targets.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, inspectors, and clients; communicate field updates.
• Identify risks, resolve field constraints, and support change orders.
