Job summary

Ella SA Contracting in San Antonio, TX seeks a Project Coordinator/APM to support the planning and execution of underground utility construction projects, including water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.

You will coordinate field operations with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Foreman, maintain project records and documentation, and help ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication skills for office and field coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Willingness to work in both office and outdoor job site environments.

Responsibilities

• Supports project planning by breaking down plans into actionable tasks and coordinating with field teams.
• Tracks field costs, updates spreadsheets, and supports invoice reconciliation.
• Assists with 3-week look-ahead and reviews daily crew activities with leadership.
• Coordinates equipment needs, crew logistics, material orders, and on-time delivery.
• Coordinates with Foreman and Superintendent on daily needs and site access.
• Maintains 811 tickets, tracks permit expirations, inspections, and utility locates.
• Keeps project documentation, as-builts, submittals, and daily reports up to date.
• Promotes daily safety practices and helps identify hazards in the field.
• Supports RFIs, logs field issues, and escalates concerns as needed.
• Assists with subcontractor scheduling and site access coordination.
• Maintains accuracy of project records and material reconciliations.
• Tracks progress and updates production reports for stakeholders.
• Schedules meetings, prepares minutes, and manages communications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
