Job summary

PURIS in Houston, TX is seeking a Pipe Layer - Open Cut / Ditch (Non-Exempt) to install sewer, water, and storm lines on open cut projects. You will work with operators and crew to ensure alignment, grade, and quality meet project specs.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of underground utility installation experience, knowledge of PVC and DI pipe, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of underground utility installation experience.
• Experience installing PVC, ductile iron, corrugated, Schedule 40/80 pipe.
• Experience with sewer, water, and storm utility systems.
• Read grades and install to specification; pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe and manholes per plans and grade requirements.
• Coordinate with operators and crew to complete work safely.
• Ensure inspections and testing requirements are met.
• Maintain site cleanliness and assist with restoration tasks.
