Job summary

PURIS is seeking a hard-working laborer for underground water utilities projects in Texas. You will locate, excavate and assist in the rehabilitation and repair of sewer and stormwater lines, align equipment, and support field crews on busy job sites.

Responsibilities include lifting, driving support vehicles, completing daily logs, and maintaining safety on site. A high school diploma and experience in outdoor construction are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Experience in physical labor outdoors is required.
• Must know how to measure, cut, and join pipe for water utilities.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Safety certifications for Confined Space, Competent Person, OSHA 10/30, and traffic control related as required.

Responsibilities

• Work with supervisors and peers on water and sewer rehabilitation projects.
• Direct equipment alignment, movement, and adjustment to fit location needs.
• Assist in setup and cleanup of job sites; lift/carry/pull items up to 50–75 lbs.
• Review entry/work permits and pre/post-installation videos.
• Enter manholes and confined spaces when required.
• Perform job site setup/cleanup and haul crew/equipment as needed.
• Submit daily vehicle/equipment maintenance logs.
• Monitor for safety hazards and report issues to supervisor.
• Other tasks as assigned.
