Job summary

PURIS Corporation, Llc is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer for open cut utilities in Houston, TX. The role focuses on installing sewer, water, and storm utility systems according to project plans and grade requirements.

You will work closely with operators and deck crew to ensure safe, compliant installations and quality workmanship. The ideal candidate has extensive underground utilities experience, reads grades, and can pass inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience installing underground utility systems and reading grades to specification.
• Ability to prepare for inspections and meet testing requirements.
• Strong knowledge of trench safety practices and safe excavation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install PVC, ductile iron, corrugated, Schedule 40/80 pipes per plans.
• Install sewer, water, and storm mains and related components.
• Set manholes and precast structures to grade and specification.
• Ensure installations are leak-free and meet quality standards.
• Read grade stakes and project markings to support installation.
• Coordinate with crew and foreman to ensure safe, on-time completion.
• Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and restoration work as needed.
