Job summary

PURIS is hiring a Pipe Layer to support civil underground wet utilities, including water, sewer, and stormwater projects in Laredo, TX. The role focuses on locating, inspecting, and preparing rehabilitation and repair work for sewer lines.

You will work with supervisors and peers, operate and position machinery for site needs, and assist in setup and cleanup while complying with safety protocols. Travel up to 90% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Pipe laying experience for underground water utilities is required.
• Safety certifications such as Confined Space, Competent Person, 10/30 hour OSHA, and traffic control certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work with supervisors and peers on water and sewer rehabilitation projects.
• Direct equipment alignment, movement, and adjustment to meet location needs.
• Assist in setup and cleanup of job sites, lifting 50+ lbs as needed.
• Review entry and work permits and post-installation videos.
• Enter manholes or confined spaces when required.
• Transport equipment and crew members; drive various vehicles.
