You will work closely with the project team, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate procurement, on-time delivery, and proper documentation, while learning company software and processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with procurement and logistics in underground utility construction.
  • Ability to track orders, lead times, and deliveries.
  • Strong communication with vendors and field teams.
  • Willingness to learn company software.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Utility Project Manager in managing and coordination of assigned projects.
  • Procure pipe, fittings, structures, valves, aggregate, and other materials for underground utility construction.
  • Maintain procurement logs and keep order status, quantities, lead times, and delivery dates current.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
  • Verify material deliveries and assist with shortages, damaged materials, backorders, and incorrect deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of installed material quantities.
  • Communicate regularly with Superintendents and Foremen to verify quantities and usage.
  • Maintain organized records of material quotes, purchase orders, delivery tickets, invoices, and other procurement documentation.
  • Assist with organization of onsite material storage and staging areas.
  • Monitor onsite inventory and identify potential material shortages before they impact field production.
  • Assist with project documentation, tracking, and other administrative responsibilities as required.
  • Performs other project-related duties as assigned by the Utility Project Manager.
