Job summary

USIC is seeking Drop Bury Technicians to locate underground utilities and perform bore activities at residential or commercial sites. You will use locating equipment, reference maps, and trenching tools while documenting every step and maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Training is provided, and career growth through CPP and USIC All Stars programs is highlighted. The role requires outdoor work in varying weather, a valid license, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Computer proficiency and ability to interpret electronic locating equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to read, understand locate tickets and maps.
• Clear communication with colleagues, customers and property owners.
• Ability to perform manual labor (lift up to 75 lbs) and operate digging/bore tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to outdoor job sites and perform locates and drop bury tickets.
• Reference records, maps, and prints to locate and mark underground facilities.
• Utilize locating equipment following procedures to ensure accurate locates.
• Operate digging equipment or use hand tools to trench/bore cables 6–8 inches deep.
• Take and process photos, complete documentation for billing and compliance.
• Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA guidelines, interface with stakeholders.
