Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in construction, preferably underground utility construction including trench excavation.
• Must have solid communication skills and good organizational abilities.
• Must be open to travel and overnight assignments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite meetings with customers to plan and coordinate construction activity.
• Enforce company safety compliance guidelines.
• Perform on-site layout from blueprints, measure elevations from benchmarks and profiles.
• Ensure production, detail and quality of installations.
• Maintain excavation and shoring standards.
• Organize traffic control and oversight.
• Scout job sites for utility locates and readiness to start work.
• Coordinate with project manager to maintain schedules and target completion dates.
• Schedule equipment, tools and materials to the job site.
• Shift priorities as required.
• Assist in tracking and measuring completed projects for billing.
• Represent the company with clients as a point of contact.
• Complete daily project safety pre-task planning and weekly time sheets.
