Job summary

Carolinaconduit is seeking a Project Manager for underground conduit utilities in Charlotte, NC. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout, acting as the liaison between field operations, clients, subcontractors, and internal departments.

Responsibilities include project planning, budgeting, field oversight, client communication, safety compliance, and documentation. Requires strong planning, leadership, and cost-management skills, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in underground utilities, conduit, or electrical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of underground construction methods, electrical conduit systems, and utility coordination.
• Proficient in project management software
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders, engineers, municipal inspectors, and other team members.
• Plan and supervise multiple projects from start to finish, according to the contract documents and procedures.
• Provide timely and organized completion of the entire pre-job planning process with proper communication and dissemination of information.
• Responsible for project submittal creation and review process between customers, field operations, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Negotiate and administer contracts for procurement of materials and subcontractors within budget.
• Responsible for identifying project changes and for estimating, obtaining, and managing change orders.
• Prepare close-out documents and procedures and ensure profitability.
