The Underground Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment used in underground utility and electrical construction projects. This position requires experience operating earth‑moving equipment, including skid steers,excavators, and backhoes, while supporting the installation of underground utilities, conduit systems, and related infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has experience in underground construction, understands safe excavation practices, and possesses a strong working knowledge of reading and interpreting utility blueprints, construction drawings, and utility locates to ensure accurate installation and avoid damage to existing underground facilities. The Underground Equipment Operator works closely with field crews to complete projects safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
