Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corp. is seeking a Crew Chief to lead field crews in locating underground utilities, including fiber optic, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems. You will direct equipment operators, coordinate safety protocols, and ensure data accuracy per CAD standards.

The role requires mapping tasks, utility marking, and potential travel for SUE-related projects; strong leadership and safety focus are essential for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ field SUE experience preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Responsabilités

• Direct and participate in field activities of personnel performing equipment operations, technical skills, and manual labor.
• Identify utility pathways, cables, pipes, and other conduits underground to protect utilities from damage.
• Record and document underground utility field data per CAD standards.
• Read maps and blueprints to locate utilities and cross-sections.
• Operate vacuum excavation vehicles and maintain equipment.
• Provide Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) setup and ensure safety on site.
