Job summary

Southeasternsurveying seeks a skilled Utility Crew Chief to lead field crews in identifying and protecting underground utilities in Pensacola, FL. You will direct equipment operations, read maps, and ensure safety while collecting data for mapping and client reports.

The role requires strong leadership, SUE experience, and the ability to mentor teammates in proper locating procedures and data documentation. Travel up to 25% may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of field SUE experience or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of municipal construction, utility infra, and safety rules.
• Ability to lead a crew and ensure data accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct and inspect crew activities; ensure safe, accurate locating of underground utilities.
• Mark utilities with flags/paint and document results for client use.
• Read maps/blueprints; coordinate with field managers on plans and timelines.
• Maintain equipment; support TTC setup and site safety initiatives.
• Record field data per CAD standards; assist in survey tasks as needed.
