Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or related engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Three+ years of relevant underground transmission experience.
• Knowledge of underground cable systems, duct banks, manholes, cable accessories, and installation methods.
• Experience preparing engineering calculations, drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with transmission systems rated 69kV or higher.
• Experience with CYMCAP and cable-pulling software (Pull Planner, Cable 3D).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Designs underground transmission systems in accordance with standards.
• Performs ampacity, pulling, cable selection, grounding, and bonding calculations.
• Develops routes, duct banks, manholes, and cable-system layouts.
• Prepares calculations, drawings, specifications, material lists, and construction packages.
• Reviews survey, utility, geotechnical, and vendor information.
• Coordinates with clients, vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provides technical support during procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Supports project estimates, schedules, proposals, and QA/QC.
