Job summary

Warrior Met Coal Inc is seeking a Section Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the continuous mining section near Brookwood, Alabama. You will lead with safety, integrity, and teamwork while ensuring compliance with mine regulations and company policies.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in underground coal mining, a Bachelor’s degree in mining or related field, and a Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in underground coal mining.
• Valid Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate.
• Proficient in the use and maintenance of continuous mining equipment and systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High attention to safety, detail, and quality.
• Ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations; ensure safe production goals.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily activities of the continuous mining section.
• Monitor coal production quality and costs; maximize efficiency.
• Ensure safety of teammates and equipment; implement corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments of mine conditions.
• Provide training, coaching, and feedback to teammates.
• Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Communicate with managers; provide timely reports and data.
• Stay updated on mining trends; propose improvements and innovations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
