Warrior Met Coal, Inc. is seeking a Section Coordinator for the Brookwood, AL area to oversee the daily operations of a continuous mining section.

The role requires leadership, safety focus, and expertise in underground coal mining, with responsibility for equipment, personnel, and production targets. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in mining or related field and a valid Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate, with at least 5 years of underground mining experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of underground coal mining experience.
• Valid Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate.
• Proficient with continuous mining equipment and systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and regulations; ensure compliance with policies.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily activities of the continuous mining section.
• Monitor coal production quality, quantity, and costs; optimize efficiency.
• Ensure safety of teammates and equipment; implement preventive measures.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments; report issues.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Enforce safety, health, and environmental policies across the team.
• Communicate with managers and provide timely reports and data.
• Stay updated on industry trends; propose improvements and innovations.
• Other duties as assigned.
