Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate is required.
• Proficient in use and maintenance of continuous mining equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow all applicable State and Federal safety rules and regulations, and company safety guidelines.
• Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the continuous mining section, including equipment, personnel, and materials.
• Ensure the safety of all teammates and equipment in the mine and implement preventive and corrective measures.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and assessments of mine conditions, equipment, and operations and report issues.
• Provide training, coaching, and feedback to teammates and evaluate performance.
• Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
