Job summary

Warrior Met Coal seeks a Section Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the continuous mining section at our Brookwood, Alabama site. You will lead a safety‑focused team, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate equipment, personnel, and materials to meet production goals.

You will model the Warrior Way, uphold safety standards, and drive improvements through coaching and collaboration with cross‑functional teams in a challenging underground mining environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in underground coal mining, preferably in continuous mining operations.
• Valid Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate.
• Proficient in the use and maintenance of continuous mining equipment and systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High attention to safety, detail, and quality.
• Ability to work under pressure, in challenging and dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and company safety guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental standards, and production goals.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily activities of the continuous mining section.
• Monitor coal production quality and costs; improve efficiency.
• Ensure safety of teammates and equipment; implement preventive measures.
• Provide training and feedback to teammates; evaluate performance.
