Job summary

Warrior Met Coal, Inc. seeks a Longwall Foreman to lead the longwall operations near Brookwood, Alabama. You will supervise all personnel and activities on the longwall section, ensuring production goals are met while adhering to safety standards and MSHA regulations.

You will coordinate daily pre-shift meetings, hazard assessments, and task assignments, while overseeing equipment operation, maintenance, and shift reporting. Strong leadership and mining knowledge are essential."

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; mining certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of underground coal mining experience, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Alabama Underground Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of longwall mining systems, hydraulics, ventilation, ground control, and MSHA regulations.
• Ability to read mine maps, ventilation plans, and production data.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all personnel and activities on the longwall section to meet production goals with safety.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings, hazard assessments, and task assignments.
• Direct operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of longwall equipment.
• Monitor geological conditions and coordinate with engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate production and shift reports.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate resolution.
• Mentor and evaluate miners on the longwall section.
