Job summary

PIKE Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman in the United States to join our team for underground electrical distribution work. You will assist the crew, perform construction, maintenance and repair duties, and report to the Foreman, contributing to safe and reliable grid operations.

The role involves outdoor work in varying weather, travel as needed, and lifting up to 50 pounds while following strict PPE and safety protocols to protect yourself and teammates.

Qualifications

• Physically able to perform demanding outdoor labor.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems while safety first.
• Help install and repair underground facilities, underground conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment to include backhoes, trenchers, excavators, and pulling equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and a comprehensive understanding of insulated protective cover to isolate differences of potential.
• Inspect rubber goods and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Understanding of when to wear personal protective equipment.
