Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is seeking a Foreman of Underground Power to lead a crew responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems. You will plan daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure safety and quality on every job site.

The role requires hands-on experience with trenchers, directional drills, and cable plows, plus the ability to read blueprints and coordinate with supervisors. A strong leadership record is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience operating and maintaining underground power equipment and supervising crews.
• Three years of experience in underground power construction and equipment operation, with at least one year in a leadership role.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; Authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license with two years of driving experience and an acceptable record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team to install, repair, and maintain underground power systems.
• Coordinate daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Operate underground equipment such as trenchers, directional drills, and cable plows as needed.
• Read blueprints, specifications, and job plans to ensure accurate underground power installation.
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
• Inspect job sites for hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Communicate project updates to supervisors and stakeholders.
• Oversee site restoration by managing backfill, compaction, and grading.
• Resolve issues in real-time related to underground power installation or equipment operation.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and performance.
