Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Engineer/Engineering Associate/Engineering Representative to support network underground systems in Savannah and Augusta. You will design, estimate, and coordinate construction projects, and act as primary contact for customers and municipal partners.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree (or equivalent) and may involve PE licensure. Strong knowledge of NESC and GIS tools is preferred, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Four-year accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• PE license is preferred; otherwise professional qualifications per company policy.
• Strong knowledge of electric power systems and NESC.
• Experience with GIS and engineering design software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design, construction coordination, and project management for network underground systems.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, developers, contractors, and agencies.
• Plan and schedule construction work to meet service dates and ensure compliance.
• Support asset management programs and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Balance safety, customer satisfaction, reliability, and financial stewardship in decisions.
