Job summary

Current Edge Solutions, LLC in Savannah or Augusta is seeking a Distribution Engineer to lead service design, estimation, and coordination of electrical distribution projects for varied clients.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 2–5 years of experience, and strong knowledge of IEEE/NEC/OSHA standards; CAD/GIS skills are a plus. Salary starts at $75,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or equivalent utility design experience.
• 2-5 years' experience in electrical distribution, power systems, or related engineering fields.
• Proficient in electrical distribution design, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
• CAD or GIS proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC, OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects including service design, estimation, and coordination of construction for residential, new business, government, commercial, and industrial projects (both overhead and underground).
• Design and evaluate electrical power systems and distribution circuits for both low and high voltage, adhering to current utility standards.
• Work with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry experts, and third-party owners for joint-use pole permits.
• Ensure quality control and promote safe work practices while maintaining timelines, budgets, and scope.
