Job summary

XKIG is hiring a Distribution Underground Groundman in Wilmington, NC to support the construction and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the team, perform safety tasks, and help keep projects on track.

You will operate vehicles and equipment professionally, participate in storm restoration when needed, and continue training to improve technical and leadership skills. Overtime may be required; travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Secure the safety of yourself and others.
• Assist fellow line-workers in meeting project objectives.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
• Continuing training to improve technical and leadership skills.
• Works safely on construction, maintenance, or repair of energized and de-energized lines.
