Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is hiring for a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems across projects. You will assist the crew under the Foreman, performing new construction, repairs, and equipment maintenance.

The role requires physical work outdoors in all weather, willingness to travel, and the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days. You may be on call for outages and emergencies, including overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and be able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing, and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems.
• Perform new construction and maintenance of underground facilities and conductors.
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and respond to outages, storms, and emergencies including on‑call rotation.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage and insulated protective equipment.
