The XKIG company seeks a Distribution Overhead Groundman in Wilson, NC to support building, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems on-site. You will work with line crews, assist with storm restoration, and adhere to safety rules while performing energized and de-energized work.

This entry-level role requires physical stamina, ability to lift heavy items, and willingness to travel for assignments.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Responsabilités

• Assist fellow line-workers in meeting project goals.
• Join storm restoration efforts as needed.
• Follow safety rules while constructing or maintaining high voltage systems.
• Inspect PPE and wear it properly.
• String overhead wire, set poles and anchors.
• Install transformers, arrestors, cross-arms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Replace fuses in transformers and clear faulty circuits.
• Maintain and operate company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Perform physical labor and work at heights and in confined spaces.
