Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Distribution Underground Groundman in Whiteville, NC to join our field crew in building, repairing, and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems.

The role reports to the Foreman, is full-time and on-site, and requires a strong safety mindset, physical stamina, and ability to work in varying weather conditions. Health insurance, a 401K, and PTO are provided to support your long-term career.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work overtime when required.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs or more and performing physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of self and teammates on site.
• Assist line-workers to meet project objectives.
• Participate in storm restoration efforts when needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment professionally and follow directions.
