Job summary

Stancil Services in Gastonia, NC is seeking a plumbing helper to assist with underground plumbing for new homes and townhomes. You will read blueprints, determine water/waste networks, and coordinate with the project manager on installation.

You will install systems for water, waste, gases, or liquids, select materials, and install supports, valves and fittings. Safety and quality are emphasized on every job site.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of tools and plumbing materials, including fitting sizes and piping types.
• Motivated and works well with others.
• OSHA10 preferred.
• Must pass a physical examination and obtain a medical card
• Willingness to embrace change in a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing and maintaining plumbing systems.
• Read blueprints to determine exact specs and installation locations.
• Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems.
• Coordinate with project manager on installation.
• Install systems to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids.
• Select materials needed for installation, including pipe type and size.
• Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.
• Assemble and install valves and fittings.
• Observe pressure gauges to fix leaks.
• Test pipe systems and fix leaks.
• Ensure installations are properly sized, aligned, and supported.
