Job summary

STANCIL PLUMBING INC. in Gastonia, NC is seeking a reliable plumbing helper to install, repair and maintain underground water and sewer lines for new homes and townhomes. You will support journeyman plumbers, read blueprints, and ensure safe, accurate installations at outdoor sites.

Ideal candidates have basic tool knowledge, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and willingness to work in varying weather. OSHA10 preferred; physical exam may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of tools and plumbing materials, including piping sizes.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• OSHA10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing and maintaining plumbing systems.
• Read blueprints to determine exact locations and specifications.
• Prepare work areas and coordinate with project managers.
• Install pipes, fittings, valves, and supports as required.
• Test systems for leaks and verify proper alignment and grade.
• Ladder work and physical tasks up to 75 pounds as needed.
