Garney is seeking a Pipelayer in Lithia, FL to assemble, install, and repair underground pipes for water, sewer, and drainage systems. The role requires reading blueprints, working on site, and coordinating with equipment operators to lay large diameter pipes.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience installing large diameter pipes for water, sewer, or drainage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine work procedure.
• Must be able to stand and work on their feet all day and perform assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the area for pipe installation by directing trenching and grading.
• Assist equipment operators in placing pipe and directing movement with hand signals.
• Backfill around pipes using hand tools and pack trenches.
• Set up and operate pipe lasers and transits.
• Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipe materials (metal, PVC, ductile, concrete).
• Test pipes for leaks and measure/cut pipes.
