Kapp Companies is hiring a Pipelayer in Ogden, UT. The role involves laying out utility laterals, preparing excavation sites, and identifying safety hazards.

Candidates should be proficient in grading trenches and installing pipes, fittings, valves, curb inlets, and underground piping systems. The position reports to the Foreman and includes daily site tasks, safety responsibilities, and potential advancement in a growing construction team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in wet utility underground construction.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Stand, bend, shovel, and complete other manual labor.

Responsabilités

• Report to Job Foreman daily
• Completes tasks assigned for excavation and construction of underground utility sitework - often working in trenches
• Check and maintain quality of pipe to ensure it is without defect
• Effectively complete all jobs assignments within the designated time limit
• Identify hazards associated with task assignments
• Must maintain a clean and safe work area
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by Foreman and Project Manager
