Job summary

Suncore is looking for an experienced Pipelayer to join our crew on challenging civil construction projects in the United States. You’ll install water, sewer, storm drain, and other underground utilities while working alongside skilled operators and crews.

You’ll read plans, set line and grade, prepare trench bottoms, and help with trenching, backfilling, and compaction. We offer best-in-industry benefits and a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of pipelaying experience in heavy civil construction or underground utilities.
• Strong knowledge of water, sewer, storm drain, and other utility systems.
• Ability to read plans and understand pipe installation methods and practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and grade pipe to project specifications.
• Set and maintain line and grade using lasers, grade rods, and other instruments.
• Prepare trench bottoms and bedding for proper pipe installation.
• Connect, seal, cut, and fit pipe as required.
• Read and interpret construction plans and utility drawings.
• Assist with trenching, backfilling, compaction, and related underground work.
• Work safely and efficiently around heavy equipment.
