Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Paste Plant Operator to join the Goldstrike Underground team. The role involves operating a surface paste backfill plant and supporting underground operations, with emphasis on safety, data recording, and process control.

The position requires MSHA Part 48 New Miner Training before start date and includes a rotating schedule of nights and days. Responsibilities include monitoring circuits, reagent handling, and QA work to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in hot or cold conditions.
• Ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision.
• Proven safety and attendance record is required.
• 1+ year experience in a processing facility preferred.
• Knowledge of high pressure/high temperature systems preferred.
• Direct experience in processing or mining environment preferred.
• Experience handling chemicals and reagents preferred.
• Willing to train/qualify on surface heavy equipment

Responsibilities

• Conduct work area exams to identify dangerous conditions and document unresolved issues.
• Inspect routine equipment to identify defects and mitigate risks; initiate repair requests.
• Perform detailed equipment inspections and document deficiencies.
• Maintain circuit operating parameters within set limits.
• Ensure sampling is conducted at designated intervals and results recorded.
• Operate assigned circuits to meet regulatory and site standards.
• LOTO and troubleshooting per procedure with team support.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support rotating night/day schedule as needed.
