Qualifications

Minimum 12 months underground coal mining experience.
Experience operating at least two pieces of section equipment (continuous miner or roof bolter required).
Knowledge of state and federal underground mining regulations.
Certification of Competency (Face Papers) or Miners License.
High school diploma or GED.
Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Effective communication with coworkers and supervisors.
Strong safety standards and reliability.

Responsibilities

Operate underground mining equipment in production and support activities.
Install, move, clean, operate and maintain conveyor belts and related equipment.
Install and move power distribution equipment.
Install and maintain ventilation devices.
Install and maintain pumping equipment.
Load, deliver, unload and distribute supplies and parts.
Assist coworkers in any of the above tasks.
