Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience at a coal preparation facility operating, repairing and troubleshooting.
• Basic mechanical skills using blueprints, manuals and power hand tools.
• Ability to operate a front-end loader and refuse truck.
• Basic math skills.
• Desirable knowledge of mining regulations related to coal mining and preparation.
• Welding and cutting experience is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to regulations.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Willingness to work any shift, overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read and understand MSDS.

Responsibilities

• Operate, clean, and maintain preparation plant and loadout facilities.
• Install, clean, operate and maintain conveyor belts and related equipment.
• Install and maintain pumps, piping and power equipment.
• Operate chemical additive equipment including mixing, loading and monitoring.
• Load, deliver, unload and distribute supplies and parts.
• Operate mobile equipment assigned to the coal processing facility.
• Assist coworkers in any or all of the above.
