Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Technician - Underground to support customers operating underground mining equipment across Arizona. You will diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems, travel to sites, and maintain equipment availability in demanding underground environments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in mining or heavy-equipment settings, a high school diploma (Assoc degree preferred), and the ability to work above and below ground.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Diesel Technology preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair various Komatsu equipment with a main focus on hard rock underground.
• Timely, effective repairs of machine components in the Field.
• Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Work safely and follow all KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
