Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation seeks an Underground Mine Planner/Scheduler in South Carolina to produce executable weekly mine plans aligned with monthly planning cycles. You will integrate input from operations, geology, geotechnical, backfill, ventilation, and maintenance to ensure coordinated, realistic plans.

Reporting to the Senior Short Range Planning Engineer, you will lead pre-planning workshops, publish weekly plans for development, production, ground support and backfill, and monitor plan

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Mining Engineering.
• 2+ years relevant underground hard rock mining experience.
• Experience with DESWIK.sched and Deswik scheduling tools.
• Experience in Drill & Blast, Longhole Open Stoping, and underground development planning.
• Able to work 8/6 rotation and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate weekly pre-planning workshops with operations, maintenance, geology, geotechnical, ventilation and services.
• Develop and publish the weekly mine plan for development, production, ground support, projects and backfill.
• Chair planning presentations and monitor execution against the plan.
• Attend daily production meetings to track progress and report variances.
• Ensure plans align with equipment, manpower and constraints.
• Support conformance reporting and identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify and mitigate schedule risks and communicate control measures.
