Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking an Underground Mine Planner/Scheduler to produce executable weekly mine plans and align them with monthly targets. The role requires coordinating input from operations, geology, and maintenance to ensure realistic plans and successful execution.

The position supports the AFM workflow designs, generating centerlines and stope shapes, and collaborates with the Senior Short Range Planning Engineer to maintain schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience in underground hard rock mining.
• Experience in mine planning using DESWIK.sched or other scheduling software (DESWIK.sched preferred).
• Experience in Drill & Blast is highly regarded.
• Experience in Longhole Open Stoping is highly regarded.
• Experience in underground development planning is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly pre-planning workshops with operations, maintenance, geology, geotechnical, ventilation, and services.
• Develop and publish weekly mine plans aligned to the rolling 3-month forecast.
• Chair planning presentations and monitor plan execution with updates and corrective actions.
