Job summary

Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining is seeking a Mine Geologist I to support underground mining operations with geological interpretation, data collection, 3D modeling, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams. You will maintain geological data, support drilling programs, and contribute to daily operations and long-term planning.

The role involves office and underground work, with emphasis on accurate data input, environmental compliance, and effective communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology or geological engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in exploration or mine production geology preferred.
• Underground mining experience preferred.
• Narrow vein geology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe, environmentally compliant work activities.
• Input, manage, and maintain geological and drilling data.
• Assist with geologic project work and interpretation of complex geology.
• Perform grade control, sampling, mapping, and provide geologic guidance.
• Monitor QA/QC data and procedures.
• Assist with drilling activities and core handling/logging.
