Job summary

Bunker Hill Mine seeks a Geological Technician to support geology team in collecting, logging, and analyzing data critical to exploration, resource modeling, and production planning in an underground mining setting.

You will maintain sampling, databases, and QA/QC procedures, collaborate with engineers, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Previous experience with core logging and Leapfrog/ArcGIS is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Geology or related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of geology, mineralization, and sampling techniques.
• Experience with core logging, sample handling, and QA/QC procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and data entry systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in underground mining environments.

Responsibilities

• Collect and log drill core and underground rock samples in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist geologists with geological mapping in underground and surface environments.
• Label, catalog, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis (assay and geochemical testing).
• Maintain accurate geological databases, logs, and digital records.
• Assist with core cutting, sampling, and QA/QC procedures.
• Operate and maintain sampling and geological logging equipment.
• Support drilling programs through sample coordination, handling, and tracking.
• Conduct inspections of sampling areas and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare maps, cross-sections, and reports using geological software.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to communicate geological findings.
