Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Experienced Underground Front Line Supervisor for our Portal Mines operations. The role leads the Underground Operations team, overseeing safety, efficiency, and adherence to mine plans.

You will develop crews, coordinate with maintenance and engineering, and ensure a high safety standard. A rotating nights/days schedule is required; six years underground experience and three years supervisory are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) years of underground mine related experience
• Minimum three (3) years' experience at a supervisory level
• Proven knowledge of underground hard rock mining
• Experience in an environment involving planning/scheduling of maintenance work preferred
• Excellent communication skills with ability to supervise and direct underground supervision
• Excellent safety and performance record

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign personnel as jobs require
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment preforms as desired
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure compliance with mine plans
• Develop and train employees to standards for safe and efficient equipment operation
• Preform other duties as assigned
