Job summary

United Utility Services in Northern Mississippi is seeking an Underground Lineman to install, maintain, and restore underground electrical distribution systems. The role involves working on primary and secondary cable systems, conduit, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a CDL Class A license (or be eligible).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL Class A license is required or candidates must be eligible.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and maps.
• Experience in underground distribution construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair underground distribution facilities and equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, maps, and work orders.
• Perform cable pulling, terminations, splicing, and fault locating.
• Support switching operations, outage restoration, and safety procedures.
