Job summary
Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Instrumentation Technician to join the Maintenance team at Turquoise Ridge in Winnemucca, NV. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems to keep mining operations safe and productive.
The ideal candidate has at least four years of instrumentation/electrical experience, PLC/VFD expertise, and a strong safety record.
Qualifications
- Minimum four years of electrical/instrumentation experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot instrumentation circuits.
- Experience with PLC controls, troubleshooting, and programming; VFDs.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
- Capable of collaborating with maintenance and operations teams.
- Strong safety record and adherence to safety programs.
- Willing to work rotating night/day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of power distribution centers, switchgear, motors, controls, process controls and instrumentation.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and callouts as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
