Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Instrumentation Technician to join the Maintenance team at Turquoise Ridge in Winnemucca, NV. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems to keep mining operations safe and productive.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of instrumentation/electrical experience, PLC/VFD expertise, and a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of electrical/instrumentation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot instrumentation circuits.
• Experience with PLC controls, troubleshooting, and programming; VFDs.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
• Capable of collaborating with maintenance and operations teams.
• Strong safety record and adherence to safety programs.
• Willing to work rotating night/day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of power distribution centers, switchgear, motors, controls, process controls and instrumentation.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and callouts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Safety and effectively perform preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of power distribution centers, switchgear, motors and controls, process controls and instrumentation
• Must be willing to work shifts, overtime, and callouts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum four (4) years of experience performing electrical and instrumentation duties required. (May substitute two (2) years of trade school or equivalent training for two years of the required experience)
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical/instrumentation circuits is required
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and provide feedback is required
• Must have experience with PLC controls, troubleshooting and programming as well as experience with variable frequency drives is required
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job is required
• Capable and willing to work with maintenance and operational teams required
• Good safety record and ability to work with various safety programs required
• The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role required
