Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services, Inc. seeks an Underground Lineperson to join our crew. The role involves leading field crews, installing transformers, setting poles, and working with energized underground systems in various locations.

Applicants must meet extensive safety and physical requirements, demonstrate problem solving, and maintain PPE and equipment, with willingness to travel for emergency storm work when needed.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret prints and maps, and follow instructions.
• Demonstrated problem solving in field conditions.
• Must wear Fire Retardant clothing and PPE.
• Able to drive company vehicle and operate heavy equipment.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather.

Responsibilities

• Directs and assists crew with setting poles and anchors.
• Directs and assists with installing transformers and switchgear.
• Troubleshoots faults in primary and secondary systems.
• Maintains safety and health rules on site.
• Leads crew in Foreperson's absence when required.
• Performs underground power installation, maintenance or repair work.
