Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is hiring a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew under the Foreman, work outdoors in all kinds of weather, and participate in outages, storms, and emergencies.

The role emphasizes safety training, PPE use, and physical endurance to perform demanding labor while supporting team objectives across job sites and out-of-state assignments.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Assist in installing and repairing underground facilities, conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment including backhoes, trenchers, excavators, and pulling gear.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and outages, storms, or emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and use of insulated protective equipment.
• Inspect PPE and determine appropriate PPE use.
